Happy Easter

Easter morn with lilies fair
Fills the church with perfumes rare,
As their clouds of incense rise,
Sweetest offerings to the skies.
Stately lilies pure and white
Flooding darkness with their light,
Bloom and sorrow drifts away,
On this holy hallow’d day.
Easter Lilies bending low
in the golden afterglow,
Bear a message from the sod
To the heavenly towers of God.

Whatever the meaning of Easter to you, I wish you the happiest of days today.   xxoo

(P.S. I’ll be back tonight or tomorrow with some of my own words.  I’ve chosen to conserve my energy this past week so that I could enjoy today with my family, and treat them to a home-cooked Easter feast.   Life is such a delicate balancing act now, but I’m actually getting the hang of it after five years!   Can I get a high five over here, please?!)
