Happy Birthday, Carol

I’m a day late getting the greeting up, but the happy birthday thoughts were sent your way yesterday. 🙂 Hope the next year is your best one ever! xxxooo

  1. I is here! Now I gots to change your address in my Bloglines and we're in business!I like the new digs, hope you like it here. I figure your template will change now and then as you and Stephanie get a wild hair. ;-)Have a great weekend!Love and hugs,Diane

  2. Hi Eleanor – Just to say how very much appreciated that was too!I am popping in and out of your blog to keep up with stuff. Stephanie is so clever!! Glad your okayish.

  3. Glad you found your way over here, Diane. It wouldn't be the same without you! :)Wow, you do know me well already, don't you? Of COURSE the template will change now and then. Sheesh, that's a given! 🙂 This template is just a temporary one from the WordPress user collection. Which is a very extensive collection, so I'll probably be using more in future, as there are some very, very nice ones to choose from. But this one was selected to start with as it was extremely easy to work with during the setting up process. It's also the kind of design that Stephanie favours, so she pulled rank while she could. 🙂 I don't mind it either, actually, but don't tell her I said so!!To answer your question in a previous comment, yes I'm sticking with WordPress for publishing. I'm used to it now and really like using it, so it didn't make sense to change to something else. Their “your own domain” publishing system is so similar to what's used on their free blogs that it was an easy transition from one to another. You can use Blogger on your own domain, too, but WordPress is SO much better. A bit more complicated than Blogger in the beginning, but once you get it figured out, it's a breeze to work with. AND WordPress doesn't go down regularly, like Blogger does. There was a wee glitch the other evening, but that's the very first one since I started using it, and it was sorted out very quickly. End of product endorsement. :)Oh, and one more thing while I think of it here. I know that you're thinking about changing your own template and were asking around for some help from other Bloggers. I'm sure that they helped you out, but if you ever need “expert” help, Stephanie is always willing and available to help any of my friends. And she works for free. 🙂 She is a natural whiz at anything template related, so don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you want it. You can either e-mail me or leave a comment on my blog, and I'll pass the request on to her. She doesn't offer if she doesn't really want to do something, so asking for her help wouldn't be any kind of imposition. Honest! 🙂

  4. Hi Carol! You're very welcome. I hope that my snail mail greeting got there, too. I was a bit later than usual sending it as I was feeling a tad rough at the time. But the thoughts were there for the right day, even if the tangible greeting wasn't!Thanks so much for the e-mail message a few days ago, as well as the photo. It's great to know that you haven't given up on me. 🙂 I'll get back to you soon, I promise! I haven't been fair to my pen pals, I know, but it wasn't intentional. You know that I've been stubbornly clinging to the wish to get back to writing, which seems possible during a good spell. But then I crash before I get around to doing any writing, and it's such a vicious circle. 😦 One of my doctors came up with a solution, but I've been hesitating to put it into effect as I know that it won't sit well with everyone. But I'll have to make a decision soon. Details when I answer your message! Take care, my dear, dear friend!
