I Work for Crackers

This little story had me chuckling this morning. If you’re going to cheat on your partner, make sure your audience can’t spill the beans. Why waste money on private detectives? Parrots are a much cheaper option. 🙂

Has anyone else noticed a plethora of weird/wacky pet/animal stories in the news lately? Don’t know if it’s a slow spell for human news, or if animal behaviour is just more interesting than that of humans at present. But whichever, it makes for a nice change from reading about/watching humans being nasty to each other.

  1. Hi Eleanor. I thoroughly enjoyed the little story you referenced. As for the increase in animal stories, I am so grateful for the birth of the Animal channel on TV. I think the more society is entertained by animal antics and the more they are faced with the realization that animals have thinking ability, emotional needs, and a wonderful sense of humor, the kinder people will be to the creatures around us. That is my hope (but understandably, as the owner sadly stated, in that little story, the parrot had to go)

  2. That's a good point, Roberta. But to take it a step further, perhaps a kinder attitude towards animals will spark a kinder attitude towards the human species, too! Kindness seems to be seriously going out of style these days. :(But back to the comedy aspect of the story, glad it gave you other two a chuckle. We need all of those that we can get, right? 🙂
